I stumbled into Praew Massage at the corner of Sukhumvit and Soi 8 about
five years ago. An aging athlete and continuing rugby player, I’m always
looking for a good legitimate massage. I’m a regular at the government blind
massage in Phuket, but I look forward to a truly professional massage and
foot massage whenever I visit Bangkok.
Praew is unique for two reasons. Boon runs a Thai massage school that
accredits most of the massage girls in Sukhumvit District, and he keeps the
best students for his own operation; and the place is 100% legitimate.
Families come here with their kids. If a girl “goes outside” she’s finished.
The location is a No-Brainer, but Boon is also a good businessman. He’s got
his own line of Praew spa and massage products, and just opened a knock-out
Bangkok guest house over the massage parlor. Boon’s Bangkok rooms are
spacious, tastefully decorated, on-suite clean bathrooms with hot shower and
clean toilets, and a funky but tasteful décor. Rooms are cleaned daily, and
the valet handles your luggage and is on call virtually 24 hours. He sleeps
at Praew Guest House.
There’s a flat screen TV and DVD player in every room, along with
refrigerator and telephone and Praew label herbal soap.
There are no front desk services and reservations are by telephone only
Boon’s English isn’t great so call in your reservation to 083-710-7344 and
then send him a text message so your reservation is “in writing”.
International call +66-83-710-7344. If you have a problem, send me an email

Best of all, Praew Massage is right downstairs. It doubles as the lobby.
Cost is B1,000/nt. I don’t know how Boon does it.
