| When the Good Samaritans brought this bird to the vet after it flew into their sliding glass door, the doc took one look at those eyes and said “Brain damage”. I wasn’t so sure, so I took home what he believed was a dying bird.
The first day I worried the vet might be correct. I had to eye-dropper feed the eagle and it did noting but sit on the bottom of the comfortable box-bed I set up. I went to bed, and the next morning the bird was conscious but hadn’t moved. I went to work thinking I would return to a dead bird.
But I returned to an alert and hungry eagle, as the next few images prove. The eagle just had a one day headache. In a few days it would be ready to return to the wild. |
